Aline Weber by Eduardo Rezende for Elle Brazil. Love the location in the Atacama desert, love the swimsuit, but not a fan of the hair or the retouching (it looks like someone did something wrong to her body, especially around the skirt part of suit).

Alessandra Ambrósio by Robert Astley Sparke for Glamour Brazil, wearing the exact same swimsuit by Lenny Niemeyer which is featured on the cover of Elle (Alessandra wore it much better in my opinion). I am going to forgive the Brazilian flag cliché because it is Independence month.

Ben Harper and Isabelli Fontana by Jacques Dequeker for Vogue Brazil. Fashion Rocks? What year is this? One of my least favorite issues of Vogue Brazil this year. Fyi, Isabelli added a second “L” to her name.

Dakota Fanning by Karl Lagerfeld for Harper’s Bazaar Brazil. Another one of Carine Roitfeld’s global cover stories, but probably the last picture of the entire editorial I would have handpicked for a Brazilian cover.

Amra Cerkezovic by Fe Pinheiro for L’Officiel Brazil. With so many good images in the editorial, I have no clue why that was chosen for a cover. It is neither cool nor edgy if that is what the magazine was trying to achieve here.

First Look:
Givenchy F/W 2013-14 By Mert & Marcus

Spanish actor Quim Gutiérrez, Carine Roitfeld, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, Amanda Seyfried, and model Dalianah Arekion (who opened the show back in March), styled by Carine Roitfeld and Katy England and photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for the new Givenchy ad campaign. Argentinean model Mariano Ontanon will also be featured in the campaign.

Helena Christensen by Karl Lagerfeld for the 25th anniversary issue of Elle Brazil. A great achievement for Elle Brazil to have Karl Lagerfeld shoot the cover story of its anniversary issue, but I actually prefer Naomi Campbell’s Vogue Brazil cover this month. Cannot wait to see the stories in this issue though.

Kate Upton by Carine Roitfeld and Sebastian Faena for Harper’s Bazaar Brazil. Another one of Carine’s global covers for Harper’s Bazaar, only this time it makes absolute zero sense for a Brazilian publication.

Ana Beatriz Barros by Paschoal Rodriguez for L’Officiel Brazil. There are so many things wrong with this cover I don’t even know where to begin. Ignore the insanely awful styling and the type, and the biggest problem is that the person in the picture looks absolutely nothing like Ana Beatriz Barros. That is the without a doubt the worst retouching cover job I have seen in Brazil in a very long time.
