Made in Brazil

I love the hair and makeup and the color backgrounds here, but in terms of styling this is the exact same story Harper’s Bazaar Brazil does every single month. I am in favor of cohesiveness but it is time for the magazine to branch out a bit in the styling department.

With this month’s story photographed by Gui Paganini and styled by Flavia Lafer, Thairine Garcia becomes the model with the most editorials in the first year of Harper’s Bazaar Brazil, appearing in eleven of the twelve issues of the magazine since its launch in the country a year ago.

This is the first group story ever produced by Harper’s Bazaar Brazil since its launch last year, and it is also Thairine Garcia’s eleventh consecutive appearance in the magazine, which means that she has appeared in every single issue so far. Photographed by Gui Paganini and styled by Flavia Lafer, it is my favorite editorial from the September issue of the magazine.

The Harper’s Bazaar Brazil editorial formula: leggings, activewear elements, the same heels worn throughout, black and white and a contrast color, and amazing hair to compensate for the styling. Any of the pictures above though would have been a much more interesting cover than the actual cover shot for July.
