Gisele By Giampaolo Sgura
For Colcci F/W 2014

I have no idea of what is the actual relation between the location and the clothes, and the art direction with the gold logo feels a bit juvenile and lacks taste, but that being said this is still my favorite Colcci ad campaign in a very long time. It is great to see Gisele back, and I hope the brand taps Giampaolo Sgura again next season so that its image starts feeling more cohesive.

Gisele By Giampaolo Sgura For The
December Issue Of Vogue Brazil

As much as I personally dislike the art direction, the first cover above is perhaps my favorite cover of Vogue Brazil this year and much better than Gisele’s other Vogue Brazil cover this year shot by Mario Testino for the June issue. I also like the styling by Yasmine Sterea here, but it is hard to get excited about this story after seeing Gisele’s brilliant editorials in the past couple of months for Self Service, Vogue Paris, and the WSJ Magazine.

The Fashion Magazine Covers On
Newsstands In Brazil This Month

Adriana Lima by Giampaolo Sgura for Vogue Brazil. Although the picture is way too retouched for my personal taste and I am still not a fan of the art direction, it is one of my favorite Vogue Brazil covers this year. Love all the black Chanel.

Thairine Garcia photographed in South Africa by Gui Paganini for Harper’s Bazaar Brazil. This is Thairine’s fourth cover since the launch of the magazine in Brazil, and as much as I love her she was just on the cover three months ago. I would have loved to have seen Cris Herrmann on the cover instead since her story is my favorite in this particular issue.

Daniela Braga by Fabio Bartelt for Elle Brazil. The girl is insanely gorgeous and certainly doesn’t need this much retouching, but I am thrilled to see her on the cover of Elle.

Madison Headrick by Fe Pinheiro for L’Officiel Brazil. I still don’t get this publication and based on the headlines alone I am pretty sure I never will.
