SP-Arte/Foto Opens Today
At JK Iguatemi In São Paulo



SP-Arte/Foto, the most important photography fair in Latin America, launches tonight at JK Iguatemi, São Paulo’s newest luxury shopping center, which opened in July of this year. The sixth edition of the fair features over 750 works from 20 renowned Brazilian and international galleries, and will be open to the public from tomorrow until November 11. Sponsored by Iguatemi, this is the first time SP-Arte/Foto will be held at JK Iguatemi’s event space and terrace. Admission is free, so make sure to check it out.

Visionaire 62 Rio





The much anticipated Visionaire 62 Rio launched last night at the Biennial building where the spring/summer 2013 shows are being held in São Paulo. The launch was hosted by Visionaire’s Cecilia Dean and by Iguatemi’s Carlos Jereissati, the sponsor of the new issue.

Visionaire 62 Rio comes cased in a 3D lenticular box designed by the Campana Braothers, and features a series of 3D images that include the ultimate sambadrome by 3D video artist Marco Brambilla, Adriana Lima on the famed Copacabana sidewalk by painter Richard Phillips, Gisele nude by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, Lea T by artist Maurizio Cattelan with Pierpaolo Ferrari, and more images by Karl Lagerfeld, Marilyn Minter, Sølve Sundsbø, Vik Muniz, Adriana Varejão, Rimon Guimarães, Barrão, and Eli Sudbrack.

 

Gisele Is Launching Her Third Collection
For C&A Tomorrow In São Paulo

To celebrate the launch of her third collection for mass retailer C&A in Brazil, Gisele Bündchen will be hitting the runway tomorrow morning in a fashion show open to the public in front of C&A’s store at Iguatemi Mall in São Paulo.

Gisele’s new collection for C&A is comprised of 33 dresses, shorts, t-shirts, jackets, and skirts, 11 accessories, and 9 different styles of shoes. The line will hit C&A stores nationwide tomorrow.

 

“In The Name Of The Artists”
Opens Today In São Paulo

As part of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the São Paulo Biennial, the Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art in Oslo has lend a selection of 219 stellar works to a new exhibition which opens today at the São Paulo Biennial Pavilion in Ibirapuera Park entitled “Em Nome Dos Artistas/ In The Name Of The Artists“. Sponsored by Iguatemi, the show will feature large-scale series of works never before seen in the country, by artists such as Jeff Koons, Matthew Barney, Richard Prince, Robert Gober, Nan Goldin, Charles Ray, Tom Sachs, and many more. A selection of works by Damien Hirst will also be on display.

“In The Name Of The Artists – Contemporary American Art from the Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art” runs until December 4. Admission is free on Sundays.
