Dec 31, 2012 /
2012 was a pretty surreal year. I got to go to the men’s shows in Paris for the first time, I got to not only meet but also work with many people who I really admire, and I got to release two more issues of the magazine we started two years ago with no clue it would ever turn into such a big project. I also got to shoot Cauã Reymond and Alessandra Ambrósio, and put them on the cover of the magazine, two big dreams I still can’t really believe came true.
I want to take the time today to thank all the people who made my work possible and who contributed to the blog and the magazine in 2012. From the photographers to the agents to the models, thank you for not only trusting in me this past year, but for also educating me and for putting so much effort into making some of my crazy ideas come to life so beautifully. I also want to thank all the advertisers and labels who invested in the blog and the magazine because without them there would be no Made In Brazil and without them there would be no magazine. Most importantly though, I want to thank all of you who visited the site on a regular basis and emailed me comments and suggestions, and all of you who have purchased our magazine and collected it from the very beginning. Without your support I wouldn’t be able to keep doing a job I really love for yet another year. I wish you all a great 2013, and hope to have you on board again for another year with tons of surprises and new projects!
If you are in Rio for new year’s and want to pick up a copy of the new issue issue of Made In Brazil Magazine, it is available at Livraria Cultura at Fashion Mall. If you are in New York, the magazine is available at Casa Magazines/Global News on the corner of 8th avenue and 12th street. We are already working on European and Asian distribution for 2013, but in the meantime you can also order a copy online through this link. We ship all over the globe.
Fyi, the picture above is an outtake of Made In Brazil Magazine #6, featuring twins Luis and Lucas Coppini by Cristiano Madureira. I love this image even though it didn’t make it to the magazine, and somehow felt it was a perfect picture to illustrate this last post of 2012. Much peace, health, love, and success to all of you in the new year.
